Using her tarot cards, Jill preys on Cathy’s fears about her husband Don’s previous infidelities to convince her that he’s having another affair. Little does Cathy suspect that the manipulative Jill is trying to get between her and her husband so that she can claim Don for herself.

What for most women would be an awkward encounter – running into a man that they recently stood up – doesn’t prove too problematic for uninhibited and unprincipled Jill. Diarrhoea and lesbianism are just two of the completely made up excuses she uses to ward off the friendly yet annoying Glen.

Don and Cath discuss their marital problems in bed, which aren’t helped by the loud grunting noises emanating from next door. Having both decided to make another go of their marriage, Cath kills the mood somewhat by insisting Don undergoes a rather fastidious cleansing regime before they have sex.

Jill has insidiously wormed her way into Don and Cath’s life, although they don’t seem able to see through her façade of helpfulness. Jill launches another desperate and doomed attempt to seduce Don, who once again refuses to spend the night with her. Despite her offers of “no strings” fun and “a pot of ravioli”, as well as pretending to have slashed her wrists, Don maintains he could never leave Cath.

Linda, Jill’s colleague at the beauty parlour, comes to see her in an agitated state, clearly eager to get something off her chest. However, Jill is completely taken aback to find out that the source of her anguish is a brief fling with Jill’s husband Terry, after he came to the rescue when Linda set fire to the salon.

With his tumour gone, Terry is finally allowed to leave hospital. The thing is, no one has told Terry of the good news. In fact, Jill tells her poor husband that the tumour is now approaching ‘pumpkin-sized’, and he has to leave to go to a hospice. As if this wasn’t enough to throw Terry into a state, imagine his confusion when the delighted nurses want to throw a ‘goodbye party’ for him…
